E2’s stylish loft conversion at actor Dominic Cooper’s two bedroom flat turns the client brief on its head…
The existing floor was refurbished to include two well sized bedrooms with plenty of storage, while the new top floor in the loft created open plan kitchen living dining space with a new full width balcony and dormer window…
Materials were used to create warmth internally, avoiding the cliché white minimalist loft conversion aesthetic, ensuring the space is welcoming and dramatic, with a full palette of textures. Reclaimed timbers, structure for the new roof, are revealed, visibly grounding this new addition to the building within its existing heritage. Bricks are left exposed and a characterful reclaimed timber floor completes the rich interior. Externally, low maintenance and resilient zinc cladding compliments the aluminium glazed sliding doors.
