    E2 Associate Joins the RIBA Conservation Architect Register

    28th April 2022 E2 Associate Jim has recently completed RIBA certified training that places him on the RIBA Conservation Architect Register. Next step is completing the full qualification to become a RIBA accredited Conservation Architect.

    26th April 2022 This month marks 15 years of our practice; and what a great journey it has been. E2 may be a small studio in size but our portfolio is far from that. We have loved working on such amazing spaces but above all; we have loved being able to give our clients exactly what they want.     Asymmetry in Blackheath; when the old drives the design of the new...

    27th June 2019 Our contemporary intervention in Blackheath is within touching distance of completion onsite. The design of a strikingly contemporary rear extension to this detached town house on the edge of the heath takes its design cues from the arts and crafts style existing building. With asymmetry cascading down from the old building onto our new extension, which also features an asymmetrically pitched roof.

    E2 Director Sam Cooper has Received Accreditation as an RIBA Conservation Architect

    22nd November 2018 After more than 20 years working with listed and historically significant buildings and conservation areas our director Sam Cooper has received accreditation as an RIBA Conservation Architect. This puts Sam in a group of approximately 250 conservation architects in the country, recognising him as an expert in the field.

    02nd November 2018 E2 take a stand at the Farm & Country House Business Innovation Show, on the 7th & 8th of November at the Birmingham NEC. We will be offering advice on our specialisms relating to achieving permitted development rights for change of use to agricultural and office buildings, full planning designs that should follow to ensure the buildings actually work and are fit for purpose, gaining consent for work to Listed Buildings, the potential for new build development in rural settings and Paragraph 79 (previously 55) homes, amongst others.

    02nd November 2018 E2 are proud to be expanding our specialism for Listed Buildings and Conservation Architecture. We are currently working with developer Max Barney on two buildings of significant heritage interest in Westminster and Camden, The Grade II Listed George & Dragon Pub and the Drill Hall, Farringdon Road, built in 1888. We have also started work on a side extension to a Grade II Listed private house in Tower Hamlets.

    Sam Cooper Accreditation as Conservation Architect + E2 Team News

    01st November 2018 After more than 20 years working on and in listed and historically significant buildings and conservation areas our director Sam Cooper has submitted for accreditation as an RIBA Conservation Architect. Sam attended the four day intensive course at RIBA Portland Place and has condensed a career of experience and knowledge into a 64 page dossier to present to the Assessment Panel

    E2's Work with Developers Expands from London to Beyond the Greenbelt

    01st November 2018 We are currently working with developer Max Barney on two buildings of significant heritage interest in Westminster and Camden. And we have recently been approached to work on several new build houses in an agricultural rural setting beyond the green belt, including the potential for a Paragraph 79 house.

    Grade I Listed Morden College Completion

    01st November 2018 The three hundred and twenty year old Grade II Listed wall to the Clerk's House garden has undergone a well earned facelift. Refurbishment works were onsite for 16 weeks, during which the wall was carefully and painstakingly restored following a conservation approach subscribed by E2 with consultation from Dr Gerard Lynch 'The Red Mason' and ably carried out by Charlie Stewart and his team of craftsmen at Stewart Truman.

    15th March 2018 E2 have been entrusted with work to Listed Buildings for many years and have developed a skill in working with them. Morden College, associated with architect Sir Christopher Wren, have placed their trust in E2 as heritage architect for their vast portfolio of Listed Buildings in Greenwich.

    15th March 2018 E2 have established ourselves on larger residential schemes, taking the methodology applied to our Pavilion project and approaching larger buildings with multiple units with the same outcome in mind - making eco sexy!

    New Build

    15th March 2018 E2's flagship project 'The Pavilion' was voted top UK Eco home by Guardian online readers and has won several awards since. This project has set our bench mark for new build homes.

    27th August 2011 E2 Architecture & Interiors in conjunction with Halpin & Co Contractors have just finished a high specification refurbishment of a large detached residence on Holland Villas Road in Kensington.

    Moreton Street

    27th August 2011 Construction and finishing of 42 and 44 Moreton Street is nearing completion. E2 designed and managed the roof extensions and interior overhaul to the two early Victorian properties in the Pimlico conservation area.

    Pavilion Eco House Green Light

    15th March 2011 Plans to build an environmentally friendly, sustainable home in the grounds of a historical house have been given the go ahead by the Planning Inspectorate following a successful appeal.
